CONSTRUCTION OF E-763 HIGHWAY, SECTION: PRELJINA–POŽEGA, SUBSECTION V, works on the route, K23 construction, works on deviations 16, 17, 18 and works on temporary deviations 5K and 6K.
The beginning of the project included preparatory and earthworks. In this case, the earth excavation represented the biggest challenge, because the clay soil in this area collapsed easily. Excavation was carried out by precise mechanical digging. With the successful realization of this phase, the necessary conditions for further steps in construction have been created.
The continuation of works, such as drainage, lower load-bearing layers, and culverts, were carried out to the highest standards. Special attention was given to the bedding. Layers of crushed stone of varying thickness were carefully placed to ensure a proper foundation.
In addition to works on the main route, works were also performed on deviations 16, 17, 18, and temporary deviations 5k and 6k.
Works were also carried out on Construction 23: securing the slope, such as the construction of type 1 channels along the berms on the slopes, installation of reinforcing mesh, making a layer of shotcrete to secure the slope, anchoring, procurement of transport and installation of geomats for protection against erosion, slope topsoiling.
